2. Data Collected Automatically & Analytics

When you visit and use our Site, we automatically collect and store certain technical information to ensure server security and monitor site performance. We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused tool, to gather this data. Umami does not collect personally identifiable information, does not track users across other websites, and operates without the use of tracking cookies. The data collected automatically may include your masked IP address, general location, hardware and software details, clicked links, and content viewed.

3. Data Collection and Transient Processing

When you use the RentWiz search function, the text you enter into the prompt is collected and processed by our systems. Under Australian privacy law, this constitutes the collection of data, even if the processing is temporary. We strongly advise against entering Personally Identifiable Information (PII) – such as your name, contact details, or exact property address – into the search prompt.

4. Cross-Border Data Disclosure

RentWiz operates using a self-managed server environment, physically located in Germany. By using the service, you acknowledge that your prompt data and server connection logs will be transmitted to and stored on these overseas servers. Germany operates under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is recognised as providing privacy protections that are substantially similar to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

5. Data Retention and AI Model Training

All text prompts submitted to RentWiz are logged and securely stored on our servers. While this data is not currently used to train our AI models, AppSalon Pty Ltd reserves the right to retain these logs and utilise anonymised prompt data to train, fine-tune, or improve future iterations of our proprietary models. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that any data utilised for future training is stripped of identifiable personal information.

6. Other Disclosures

We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

  • If the law requires it;
  • If it is required for any legal proceeding;
  • To prove or protect our legal rights; and
  • To buyers or potential buyers of this company in the event that we seek to sell the company.

7. Automated Decision-Making (ADM)

RentWiz is strictly an informational retrieval tool. We do not use automated decision-making systems to make, or substantially assist in making, decisions that affect your legal rights, contractual standing, access to services, or personal interests.
